This session will give an overview of the core Asian markets, with a focus on progression
into tertiary education; incorporating grading information alongside current market intelligence and
ranking data where available. It includes practical guidelines on interpretation and distribution
of grades used and provides explanation of educational documentation from these selected countries:
Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand
This course is recommended for university and college staff involved with entry to undergraduate and
postgraduate courses. The course will also be useful to people from professional bodies, nationality &
immigration solicitors, recruiters, work permit and visa agencies, careers / guidance / refugee and asylum

- Achieve an understanding of grading systems used in core Asian markets and how these compare to the UK standards.
- Develop the ability to identify and classify qualifications within the extensive range of awards

in selection procedures and recruit the brightest and best.
