It is 40 years since the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) was established in 1975. Cedefop celebrated the occasion through a festive event, a conference and an exhibition, in addition to special anniversary publications. The celebrations have reflected on the political and social circumstances which led to Cedefop’s establishment, the organisation’s contribution to VET in Europe, and the development of VET into its present role.
