The Europass Language Passport makes it possible for users to record their language abilities.
The Europass Language Passport promotes an individual’s language skills. It records and clearly demonstrates
both formal and informal language skills and experience. It references language ability using levels of
language competency taken from the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages.
How does using the Europass Language Passport benefit my organisation?
The Language Passport provides organisations with a simple and comprehensive overview of the language
skills an individual possesses in a clear and consistent format. It also demonstrates what an individual
can do with their language skills and their level of competency.
The Language Passport improves recognition of an individual’s language abilities, particularly highlighting
to an organisation skills obtained outside of formal qualifications and focussing on practical skills related
to that language.
